The cold Autumn wind blew as I stepped out into the night. It was Halloween; my favorite holiday. I watched as ghosts and goblins, witches and werewolves, all stepped outside of their houses and ran off into the night in search of goodies and treats. I remembered when I was among them. Scampering around in the night, collecting candy from people all over town.

When I got home, I would run up to my room and dump my sack of treats on the floor. I would watch Hocus Pocus - My favorite movie to this day - and enjoy my ghost-shaped lollipops and chocolate peanut butter pumpkins. Then I would fall asleep on the floor, and my parents would place me in my bed. I’d wake up the next day with a killer stomach ache and my sugar-rush over.

But those days were gone. Those days changed. I changed.
